DMY 200 RYT Teacher Training program is designed to totally immerse students in the transformation process. This program is open to those who want to teach and also to those who want to learn how to show up powerfully in their own lives.
DMY 200 RTY TT Program is spread over 6 months (September through February) and consists of more than 230 hours of contact with Senior DMY teachers, exceeding Yoga Alliance 200 RYT requirements. Program Modules focus on an in-depth understanding of the anatomy and physiology of Hatha yoga, power yoga asana and assisting, sequencing, yoga physiology and philosophy, meditation and pranayama, connecting with your class, and practical teaching experience with feedback. This course strives to produce powerful real teachers!
Paula Baake, DMY founder and course director, leads the training assisted by internationally known Senior Baptiste Power Yoga teachers and guest lecturers who are subject matter experts in their field of study, e.g. yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology. This is an amazing course to build a foundation for a lifetime of learning.
Our goal is to produce knowledgeable, authentic teachers who can teach at any venue and be powerful! We are committed to teaching Yoga in a way that is accessible to our modern society, demystified and practical for daily application and ultimately as a way of life.
In this program you will:
- Learn to design and teach a challenging power Vinyasa yoga class
- Be introduced to basic anatomy and physiology
- Breakdown alignment, modifications, and sequencing of postures
- Practice assisting and evaluating bodies physically and emotionally
- Learn principles that will help you prevent injuries
- Learn Ujjayii and Pranayama breathing techniques to incorporate into your class
- Yoga philosophy that will guide you in your daily life
- Principles of Practice, Demonstration, Observation, Teaching, Assists
- Participate in Practice-teaching sessions, intimate study groups, observing and assisting classes
- Introduction to Sanskrit
- Be introduced and practice yogic lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers
- Practice effective presentation and communication skills to teach to different levels
- Be introduced to the business of yoga and how to run your own studio
Course Requirements:
- 6 month minimum yoga practice or Completion of DMY Level 1 Intensive Teacher Training or minimum 60 DMY classes or permission from DMY Program Director.
- Attendance of 60 regularly scheduled DMY classes. TT participants can purchase discounted monthly ($100) passes.
- 100% Attendance of all weekend training Sessions is required to complete the program
- Discipline to complete 100% of your homework, assignments
- Discipline to attend 100% of all sessions and training requirements
- Participating in the 40 Days to Personal Revolution Program (October 4-November 12) and 40 Days Wednesday Group coaching sessions (40 Days Program tuition cost is included in this program)

Cost:
$2999, $300 early registration discount by August 01, 2010.
Financing in three installements is available.
A $500.00 Non-refundable deposit holds your space, applies towards tuition and is due at time of application.
